Vweekly

Today the wife tried making cupcakes for our precious daughter. It's supposed to be Leah's birthday "cupcakes", you should be able to see the name Leah being spelled out with butter cheese icing on the banana with chocolate chips cupcakes (yummy rite). The finished products is too good to be eaten, it's such an eye candy. Don't you guys think so? Will be bringing it to church for some of you to try... haha don't snatch ok..

"Advance Happy birthday Leah"
Look how happy Leah is, even raising her hands to thank mom for the cupcakes

Remember there is this movie once called "The avenger" on this one scene the two heroes walk on water using a air balloon. Thought it is only a special effect done by the Hollywood, and beside Jesus and Peter(who only walks briefly) no one could ever do it. Didn't know that the wife and daughter are doing it too today.

Venue : Basement of United Square (next to Novena Square)
Price : $9/person, $12 for two people
Duration : 10mins (sad to say, the wife and daughter only spend barely five minutes in it. As the air inside is non-circulative and Leah is crying inside.)Review: Although I didn't try it out myself, can see that Fiana quite enjoy herself although at first she had little confident going into the air balloon. If Leah is a little bigger I believe she'll also enjoy it. The other kids there really look like they were having fun "walking" on water.

Rating : 3/5 (If it wasn't so ex I'll give it a 4, if the air inside could be circulated It'll be a 5)

p.s. Sis, we'll bring Tristan there sometime for him to enjoy too.

What is Prayer??

Taken from a web site (CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS & RESEARCH MINISTRY)

"Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through the Son of God, Jesus our Lord...."

Like a song that we used to sing it goes like this;

Two shall become one

Indeed, two shall become one... even their blogs. haha. since i'm such an irregular blogger, i've decided to capitalize on hubby's blog. Rather than leave my blog inactive for another two years... the last time i blogged was in 2006! heh heh... in between, i got pregnant, went through a horrendous process of giving birth (22 hours! imprints on my mind like a rubber stamp, never to go away), raised a daughter who is now 11 months old, who is quite an angel! haha, no la, very naughty girl!

well, despite the nightmare of giving birth, i'm gonna try for another one next year. yeh, its going to be an open secret that i'm masochistic. haha... well now, let's talk abt today.

Today is a sat, a day to be cherished.. as time passes, one realizes that weekends are getting more and more precious. and today is the first time i brought my daughter to the library. did she enjoy it? well, she socialized with other children and treated books the way they should not be treated... pounded on them, stepped on them, pulled them, patted them. she especially enjoyed pulling one book after another and letting all of them lie around her while she kept her mind focused on emptying the shelves. and this poor mother began her aerobics exercise of picking up after her! hmmm, come to think of it, there is no need to visit the gymn anymore if i bring her to the library.

thank goodness she did enjoy reading some of the books i borrowed home. well, not reading actually, just practicing her finger skills by pointing on everything that's in the book. Its already quite a feat as she seldom sits down with a book opened in front of her. usually the book sends her crawling in the other direction.

and today, i ate salad for lunch. hai... despite my healthy diet, i'm still putting on weight. all thanks to the mooncakes! I looove mooncakes. irresistible. so every mooncake festival, every chinese new year, every christmas, every dumpling festival, my efforts at losing weight goes down the drain. hai, here goes another round of jogging regime.

ok... enough for today. gonna go stephen tong rally later. will blog another time, hopefuly not two years later!

NG clips.

Seeing that the response for Leah is so good, I've came out with a NG clip for leah when filming her getting down the bed and showing us her vast english language. A bit rough on the edges, due to the limited time I have.

Maybe the Singapore government should pay me to promote child bearing, with all those cute baby videos and photos I've been posting about my adorable daughter.

Being sick for the past two days (actually still sick now) gave me chance to spend more time with my daughter. Something warming to the heart, yesterday she kept hugging me and don't want me to pass her to my helper (Tes) when I need to bath in the afternoon. Really bring Ahhhh.... to the heart of mine.

You must really be a parent to feel it.

Headache/New skill acquired by Leah

Woh, So many things happened during this week. Realized that my memory is really very bad; like running at only maybe 1Gb of hard disk space inside my head. Keep forgetting stuff and new stuff keep coming in, sometimes I'll even hang. My disciples like all facing some problems and I really don't know how to handle it. Feel quite helpless at times but really thank God for a group of brothers and sisters in Christ in these times of need; really don't know what I'm going to do without the help from the fellowship and God. This really made me realize that we are really limited and can't do without fellowship. Some people think that fellowship is only a social club or not necessary in our busy life (studying, working). That is totally rubbish. This is the place where love and support can truly be found.
Thanks once again brothers and sisters in CYYAM.

Today we tried letting Leah feed herself, she's eating bread with cheese. Really enjoying herself, kept asking us to clap our hands when she's done finish feeding herself. Enjoy the photos and a short video clip.

How to get off the bed.

Leah will show us how to get off the bed. Enjoy.

Demonstration done by professional who had tried this stunt for numerous times. Don't try this at home without parental supervision.
