Traffic Light Song

Leah was taught a new song in song in school (don't know when) and she was singing it to us on the cab yesterday night.

She was like murmuring throughout the journey, really couldn't make out what she was singing. At first I thought she was singing twinkle twinkle little stars cos the tune sound like it. But Fiana caught it and said that she is singing something new.

For me I only learnt it when we got home during her bath time (was bathing her and ask her to teach me.) She is teacher Leah.

Typical mindset of a sinner, and we are arguing over a piece of Yvette's diaper that Leah wanted to wear during the night.

Need to brush up my grammar (Part 2)

Finally got my grammar assessment book from Popular on Friday. Ok for those whose grammar is as bad as mine, let's start learning now on this blog.. hahah..

We'll be using this Basic English Grammar assessment book on this Blog.

The first step is to understand what is grammar, on page 7 it uses an old children's rhyme to give us some idea. It goes like this;

Every name is called a noun,
As field and foundation, street and town.
In place of a noun the pronoun stands,
As he and she can clap their hands.
The adjective describes a thing,
As magic wand or bridal ring.
The verbs mean action, something done,
To read and write, to jump and run.
How things are done the adverbs tell,
As quickly, slowly, badly, well.
The preposition shows relation,

Then went on to learn about countable and non-countable noun,
so I know when to use little, few, much and many.
Fruit is a non-countable noun while chocolate is a countable noun.
Soon or later I'll be PHD (Permanent Head Damage)

When we were at Popular, Leah handed me a Science assessment book and said;

Leah: "Daddy I wanna buy this."(Even my eldest is catching up on learning)
Me: "Why?"
Leah: "Because I don't want to buy that." (Pointed to a Chinese assessment book)

What is it with learning Chinese nowaday, even a two years old doesn't it.

p.s Leah we need to learn Chinese in this little China below Malaysia.

Prayer (Part 2)

I once blogged about how Leah said her grace and prayed for others.
Last Tuesday, our darling Tristan was sick. Haven't Pooh poo for a long time and it had caused him to has constipation and a fever. My sister and brother-in-law had to sponge him the whole night and that didn't help. End up he didn't went to school the following day.

During our family worship and prayer session on Wednesday, I suggested that we pray for gor gor Tristan's health. Leah straight away bowed her head and said the following prayer, "Dear God, gor gor Tristan is sick (started quite good rite), thank God for the food. In Jesus name. Ahem." (she did it again, hahaha) funny rite.
Then when we were praying together for each other (Leah was beside me at that time, didn't hear that I've already prayed for Tristan). I prayed for our family (Fiana, Tes, 爷爷， 奶奶，公公，阿妈，sister, brother-in-law, Jenna and Terence), then when I'm almost done Leah thought that I've forgotten about her percious gor gor Tristan and reminded me to pray for him. She said, "and gor gor Tristan, sick." isn't that sweet.

p.s It doesn't matter what we say, so long as our heart have the right motive. Cos God doesn't hear the words that were spoken from our mouth but our every thought.

What is that?

Our Heavenly Father above, had forgiven our sins again and again, each and every time he give us chance to repent from our sinful behavior.

P.s My dear daughters, if ever daddy keep repeating himself and asking you question over and over again. Remember to give me your patient and love as I am learning to do so on you too. And lots of hugs and a couple kisses would be nice too.

Took these pics without Fiana posing (raw). It's her carrying Yvette while Leah is playing with the utensils in Thai Express (Finally she got a break). She sure look tired.

Thanks Fiana for being there for the house and children when I'm not around or tied up with things. You are a great helper God had given to me, you had been a great blessing in my life.

A little imagination goes a long way

Went to 爷爷 and 奶奶 house for dinner yesterday. They bought 3 small chairs for the kids (due to having 3 kids in the house, the present you got to buy must be for the 3 of them, even for the same thing. Haiz Pampered). Tristan lined them up in a straight line and said to his 妹妹（渴敏）， “ lets ride on my train." And end up his mother became the driver.

Don't need to buy expensive toys, simple toys like this let the kids use their imagination. Today it could be a train or a bus, next it could be a fortress or castle.

Think the train is going to crash..

p.s Leah, when daddy is old his imagination would not be so big, so don't buy simple stuffs for daddy ok..

Went to Singapore Mandai Zoo last Sat, with Wife and Leah (left Yvette and Tes at home).
This is Leah second visit to the Zoo, and this time she really know how to enjoy it.
She rode on a pony, an elephant called Gumbay (which she will pronounce as Galib, just to make us laugh). Visited her fav animal, the Lion (they are sleeping so didn't really catch them in action) and the elephant (which she also had a ride with wife).
The best part for her would be the kids land, where they had a water featured park with slides and a mini pool. Her dear father had to accompany her to the water slide and bumped his bottom on one ride (och).

p.s Dear Leah, if I'm already old when u happen to read this post. Please give your father lots of hugs and kisses for the sake of the painful bottom. And lots of patient when I don't get what you mean. Love daddy.

She's no angel

The baby that's sleeping here is no angel, Paul said " for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Roman 3:23 and the "for all" includes everyone even this innocent and cute child.

As Christian Parent, we believed that all the things that we had are a blessing from God and are His Grace to us. So it's natural that we would say grace before we had our meal and thank Him for the things we have. For a long time, we had taken for granted for her saying grace during her meal time. Yesterday night, during her time for milk, she just refused to say it and even threw a big temper. Took us 1 hour of trying and one beating (explanation: I didn't beat her due to not saying grace but for throwing her temper and screaming). We kept our stand till the end (at times I must say I really wanna give in to her, but when I do that I know all would be lost). When she's ready for bed after her milk she just refused to say goodnight to me, kissed me and hugged me (I think it's her way of revenge). But I let it go without letting it affect me.... much.

This morning the same thing happened again. She asked for her daily morning milk (Which I insisted that we only give when she asked for it), and once again refused to say her grace. It's another session of tug of war (She really chosed a good time for doing that cos both times we might give in to her as we are either tired and wanted to go to bed or in a rush to go to work). We stick to our principal and in the end before I leave for work she finally agreed to say grace. When I leave for work she punished me again by not saying good bye, kissing and hugging me (which she usually does).

Lesson learnt
Have learnt quite alot from this incident about how God had been to us.
We are like Leah, constantly trying to be defiant as we wanna do the things that we want and like. But at times those things that we want/like to do is dangerous and harmful to us if it's not for His grace and mercy we would have crease to exist.

1) The bible is right by saying that we are all sinners, we do not want to acknowledge him in anyway and chose to go the other way(it even happened to a mere 20Mth old child).
2) How could god be God if he is not gracious, merciful and righteous to His creation. Cos he didn't strike us down immediately when we opposed Him. Instead he gave us chance again and again to repent and come to Him. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28

Got Shitted on

Time: Last night (9^th June 2009, around 8pm)

Venue: My Mom’s place

Alibi: Whole Family (Mom, Dad, Wife, Sister, Brother-in-law, Nephew and Helper)

Evident: Sorry not able to produce as it happened too fast

My dear Daughter, why didn’t you tell daddy that you need to go? We kept asking you if you need to go shi shi (ok we forgot to ask you abt poo pooh). Being an encouraging parent, we tried not to scold you when you let go on the spot. Instead we constantly assured you that it’s ok and we’ll try harder next time.

On the above time and venue not only did you shi shi on the floor, you also poo poo after that. It all started with your usual action, squatting on the floor and staying very quite and still for a moment. What came next was a pool of yellowish liquid. I washed you, encouraged you and assured you that it’s ok. After a while your same old action came back again, instantly my hand went and feel your short, it’s not wet but there’s a familiar smell. Next thing I knew a big piece of poo poo was on the floor and on my leg…..

My dear daughter, do you plead guilty to the above charges..

Accident prone

Today my Sister made a comment, "I've never seen a child with so many accidents before!"
She's referring to my daughter Leah. Today we celebrated Fiana's Birthday at my mom's place.
Instead of a birthday cake, I bought her birthday doughnuts instead, a dozen to be precise. and we had a dozen candles (cos the kids in the house love to sing birthday song and then blow out the candles) Tristan and Leah are trying to see who can blow out the most, of cos Leah needed lots of help from us. And the accident happened, while she was trying to blow out the last few candles with me holding her, her hair (front part) caught fire.... (terrible rite). The most amazing thing was she didn't cry or made a din out of it.. really amazing.. I saw the bright light in front of her and my sister and brother-in-law who were in front keep yelling fire! fire! And I quickly put out the fire with my spare hand..
Very exciting incident today. Those who wanna see her hair can have a look on Sunday lar. For now take a look at the pictures.

Ya and before that, today was my off day because Fiana had an appointment with her gynae, and today we are supposed to know the gender of the baby.. And it's ..... most of you have guessed it wrongly... it's a girl... we gg to name her 学敏 (leaning to be sensitive to God).

Barney.

My girl love Barney, the purple dinosaur, the one who sing I love you, you love me. Don't know why he has such power over kids. Every time when she is listening to the song, she will juz sit still and even wave to him in the TV.

Anyone care to explain why???

Leah has 5 days MC.

Woh, didn't expect Leah to be down with hand, foot and mouth. I keep asking the doc;

me: "How could it be possible for her to get it?"
Doc: "There are lot's of reasons, the virus consist of 100 over types still counting so could juz happens." (Think it goes something like that lar, sorry doc Roy if I got you wrong. My whole mind at that time was on Leah.)

But she looks so alrite, so cheerful, playful and keeps wanting food as usual, although red dots appears on her face, hands and feet. (Ya, doc also say she has ulcer in her throat.)

Really thank God that although she's in this condition, she still alright. It's her parents that so sick and tired to even do anything. Fiana had fever and aching all over her body, sleeping now. I think I'm having sore throat (maybe caught some of Leah's virus, shared some soya bean drink with her in the morning).
